How To Play in the Monthly Game

When you register for The Sun Horse Play Tipping Game you can play in the Monthly Game, which is integrated with the UK & Ireland Race Cards and works as follows:

• Each new Monthly Game starts on the 1st of the month and runs for the entire month.

• It's free to play and each month all registered users are issued with 300 virtual credits

• Players can bet 20 credits each day, with 5 credits being the smallest amount they can stake so this allows them to place up to 4 tips per day. They can select whether you want it to be an each way or a win bet.

• All each ways bets will be settled at 1/4 odds for a place with the exception of non-handicaps with 8 or more runners, which will be settled at 1/5 odds.

• Each player must stake at least 50 credits per week (weeks running 1st – 7th, 8 – 14th, 15th – 21st and 22nd to end of each month) and if that amount is not staked in the defined week, an equal amount is deducted from their score

• Members who join up later in the month may begin on a lower total points tally for not having placed a bet in the first, second or third week depending on when they joined

• To be with a chance of winning a monthly prize members must select at least 20 tips that run in any month

• To be eligible for a prize, members cannot place more than twelve "20pt win" bets on horses with an SP of 16/1 or bigger in any one month.

• Credits are staked by simply selecting a race from the race cards and choosing a horse and amount to be staked

• Races close 5 minutes before official starting time

• Competitors who select the winner will have their stake multiplied by the horse's starting price and added to their total score

• Competitors who select a loser will have their stake subtracted from their total score

• Competitors who select a non-runner will have their stake returned to them after the result for the race comes in

• Scores are updated once the results come in

• All results settled on Rules of Racing

• In the event of any dispute The Sun’s decision is final decision is final.

• In the event of a tie the winner is deemed to be the player that has picked the most winners. In the unlikely event of a tie at that stage we will provide both members with equal prize.

• A new Monthly Game will begin at the start of the next month.

• You can set up your own Private League and play against colleagues, friends and family. Any Monthly Game bets you place will be counted in all leagues you are part of.
